The Medway Short Course Pathway

Skills for MURs is one of a number of short courses available to pharmacists through the Medway School of Pharmacy. Many of these courses are delivered by distance learning, offering practising pharmacists the flexibility to work through the course at their own pace. Courses are assessed either through multiple choice questions, or by asking students to complete case studies.

Successful completion of each course will lead to you being awarded a given number of academic credits. These credits can be accrued and used to contribute towards a formal university qualification; Certificate, Diploma or Masters Medicines Optimisation (60 / 120 / 180 credits).
Courses in the Short Course Pathway include:

  • Patient Monitoring in Practice (five credits)
  • Advanced Patient Monitoring in Practice (five credits)
  • Clinical Consultation, Assessment and Diagnosis (20 credits)
  • Using Evidence Effectively (10 credits)

There are a further 17 short courses offered by the Medway School of Pharmacy. We will also be introducing a new Skills course in the near future: “Skills for Dermatology”. For details of these, and more information on the Medway School of Pharmacy Short Course Pathway:
